When Member of Parliament I was asked to come to a class at Aqamnik Elementary School at Aqam just north of Cranbrook so students could share their letters of concern around climate change. I had each of the students read their letters to me.
They were excellent - truly heartfelt. I decided I would hand-deliver them to the Honourable Catherine McKenna, federal Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, in her office in Ottawa.
I am holding a photo of the teacher and her class that I took - I left that with Minister McKenna along with the letters.
Coming up with ways to serve my constituents is what I do!
